TNA – Training Needs Analysis
A TNA is used to assess an organization‘s development / training needs. The root of the TNA is the gap analysis. This is an assessment of the gap between the knowledge, skills and attitudes that the people in the organization currently possess and the knowledge, skills and attitudes that they require to meet the organization‘s (strategic) objectives.
Agenda - guiding questions:
› What are your strategic aims in the next 3 to 5 years?
› Which target groups are relevant to achieve the strategic aims?
› What is the desired / required competency profile of the relevant target groups?
› What is the current competency profile of these target groups (gap analysis)?
› What has to be done with regard to personnel and organizational development?
Methodology:
› Facilitated workshop
Attendees:
› Relevant decision makers e.g. CFO, CEO, COO, HR director, Sales Director, after sales Director
› Number of attendees 4 to 12
Target of the workshop:
› By the end of the workshop, relevant target groups are created to achieve strategic aims.
› We attained a level of understanding on the desired state and performed a solid GAP analysis (based on current state).
